Atomico supercharges Growth Acceleration offering with Director hires

Built by founders for founders, the world’s brightest entrepreneurs choose Atomico because our partnership approach offers one-of-a-kind operational support throughout the scaling journey.

As our portfolio grows we’re continuing to evolve this offer - known as Growth Acceleration - to keep pace with the changing demands of modern founders, who partner with us for the long term and face new challenges and demands in the shifting entrepreneurial landscape.

We’re delighted to welcome three new directors focussing on Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG), Communications, and Talent, each of whom bring something new to Atomico HQ:

Soline, Andrew and Abigail

Soline Kauffmann-Tourkestansky joins as ESG & Sustainability Director, to meet the growing demand for support with sustainable business practises inside the portfolio, and ensuring that Atomico itself continues to lead in this important area. She comes to us from Paris-based growth fund blisce/, where she supported portfolio ventures operationally as well as improving their ESG practises, leading to two ventures becoming BCorp certified. Prior to that, Soline gained both operating and entrepreneurial experience from several years working in startups, including as a co-founder herself.

Soline will be building Atomico’s Growth Acceleration proposition for ESG, as well as further integrating ESG considerations into key Atomico processes, including measurement and reporting.

Wise alumni Abigail Daniels joins as Communications Director, helping our portfolio as they build global communications teams, secure later stage funding, and navigate the unique communications challenges that come with multi-billion dollar IPO and liquidity events. Abbie joined Wise just after their Series C round in 2015 and went on to lead global PR, building a team of 18 people covering 30+ markets across Europe, the Americas and APAC, encompassing corporate, consumer and B2B communications. She led the communications for Wise’s £9 billion direct listing on the London Stock Exchange, the largest technology listing in London, majoring on Wise’s mission-led story. Prior to Wise, Abbie worked with agencies Fishburn Hedges and Hotwire, advising start-ups and larger corporates building profiles in the tech, financial and business media.

Abbie will work closely with long standing Communications Partner Bryce Keane, who focuses on supporting the earlier stage portfolio.

Andrew Duncan, joins as Talent Director, concentrating on Executive Recruiting - one of the most in demand elements of Atomico’s Growth Acceleration offering. Andrew joins us from The Up Group in London, and before that Kindred Partners in San Francisco, where he was responsible for placing hundreds of executives in both the US and European talent ecosystems. He’ll be working with our portfolio to build high performing leadership teams as they scale, and to imbed best practice principles when it comes to recruitment, retention and compensation. A long time friend of the Atomico family, we already have a lot to thank Andrew for, as he brought Partner Sasha Astafyeva and Principal Terese Hougaard to Atomico two years ago. Before Kindred, Andrew was a consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton for three years in Washington DC.

Andrew joins Partners Dan Hynes and Caroline Chayot in the Portfolio People Operations team.

Every aspect of Atomico is focused on helping extraordinary founders succeed, because our backing goes beyond just capital. We’ve got the experience, understanding and insight to help you on a journey we know all too well, and the foresight to predict where you’ll need extra support on the way. Soline, Abbie and Andrew are the latest manifestation of that.

Please join us in welcoming our new directors to the Atomico family!
