Xobni

Xobni (the word 'inbox' spelled backwards) was a San Francisco-based company founded in 2006 that aimed to make your inbox and contacts list less terrible by focusing on the people you communicate with most.

Xobni originally launched as a plugin for Microsoft Outlook, and would surface all the people you've ever emailed, called or texted; creating complete social profiles for each that were instantly searchable. Profiles included a photo, job title, company details, email history as well as updates from your contacts on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.

In July 2013 Xobni was acquired by Yahoo for $60m, but was shut down less than a year later.
