Congratulations Hailo & mytaxi

On Tuesday 26th July 2016, Hailo and mytaxi announced plans to join forces to create Europe’s largest taxi e-hailing company with over 3 million customers and 100,000 registered taxi drivers in over 50 cities across nine countries.

As one of the first and early investors in Hailo, we are excited by the news. Atomico has sat on the Board of Hailo since our very first seed investment in 2011. We have been very impressed with Andrew Pinnington’s leadership of the Hailo team since January 2015. The fact that he is leading the combined business from Germany shows how much respect he has garnered in the e-hailing space.

Both Hailo and mytaxi will be stronger together as they will now be able to provide customers with a seamless e-hailing experience in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Austria, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal and Sweden.

As big fans of the Hailo experience we look forward to seeing Andrew and the combined team go from strength to strength.
