Congratulations to Atomico’s two newest, homegrown Partners

It is with great pleasure that today we announce two of Atomico’s talented investors have been promoted to Partner. Hillary Ball and Andreas Helbig have each played pivotal roles in identifying and supporting some of the world's most ambitious founders, acting as true partners on the journey to scale. Both joined Atomico early in their careers, Hillary as an Associate in 2017, and Andreas as a VP in 2020 — quickly rising to become leaders in their respective focus areas.

Atomico's new Partners, Hillary Ball and Andreas Helbig

As an integral member of our Growth team, Hillary invests in software as a service (SaaS), consumer internet and marketplace companies from Series B+ across Europe and the US. She currently sits on the boards of two Atomico portfolio companies, Gympass and Framer. Since joining Atomico, Hillary has played a key role in some of our most exciting growth stage investments, working closely with Sorare, MasterClass, Framer, Gympass, SmartNews and Quit Genius.

Hillary began her career at Goldman Sachs, where she advised companies on IPOs, M&A and financing processes. This expertise has been crucial in helping our growth companies navigate the next phase of the scale-up journey.

Our next Partner, Andreas, has a strong geographical focus on the Nordics and Baltics, focusing on early stage investments as part of Atomico’s Venture team. He has a particular interest in B2B software as a theme — specifically SMB SaaS, including vertical SaaS, and B2B marketplaces. Recently, Andreas led our investment in the core software for veterinarians, Digitail, where he also sits on the board. He has proven himself to be indispensable in sourcing, evaluating, and supporting our investments in PocketLaw, Katana, and Pactum.

Andreas joined us nearly three years ago from Project A, where his venture capital journey began. During his time there, he enjoyed working across the continent, in both Berlin and Stockholm, on investments in companies such as Kry, Voi, Sennder, and Dixa.

We could not be more proud of our new Partners, each of whom embodies Atomico’s principles and our drive to support the next generation of gamechangers. Congratulations, Andreas and Hillary!
